Consultancy and Training
The Sandy Green Early Years Consultancy is usually able to offer the following services :
- A regular consultancy package
- Consultancy and training packages
- One off consultancy arrangments
- Personalised training in your own setting, to suit your individual requirments
- Advice and consultations on quality assurance
- Personal tuition in most early years subjects
- Small scale conferences
- Talks for parents
- A range of early years resources
However, it should be noted that following significant illness, Sandy is currently home-based and not currently providing training:
Examples of past work includes:
- Training in a range of subjects (examples of sessions are listed in the following section)
- Advice and guidance on a number of setting-specific issues
- Observations of staff at work, giving them supportive feedback
- Supporting the development of staff appraisals
- Discussion and exploration with managers of topics linked to quality assurance
Training
As a freelance trainer, Sandy Green provides training within your setting, at times convenient to you and your staff. For example, following the close of a mornings only session at pre-schools, or to provide training for day care staff before they go home at the end of the day.

The sessions :
- Training sessions are usually a minimum of 1 and a half hours (with shorter times accommodated by special arrangements)
- Aims and objectives are provided for each session
- Handouts (where appropriate) are provided at no extra charge
- Sandy can provide all necessary training equipment (e.g. Overhead Projector, Screen and Flipchart etc)
- TV/Video units, if needed, must be provided by the setting
